Oral Health
Pregnancy & Oral Health – A mother’s oral health standing is a strong predictor of how her child’s oral health will be in the future. The primary reason for neglected oral care is due to the misconceptions around the safety of treating pregnant women. This includes routine teeth cleanings, cavity fillings, dental crowns, and gum disease treatment. However, receiving dental treatment while pregnant is completely safe and encouraged. The earlier dental conditions are treated, the better your child’s oral health will be as they grow up.

Diane Insolia, Registered Dietitian is a RD and CDN and she has been helping people with weight loss, diabetes, gluten sensitivity and food allergies in NYC. She is experienced, professional and even takes some insurance! She has been working out of our office for two years now. Her approach is to address underlying imbalances in the body which can lead to conditions such as IBS, leaky gut, food sensitivities, adrenal fatigue, weight gain, and migraines by restoring function through food, lifestyle and supplement interventions. She also works with clients who have eating disorders (bulemia, binge eating disorder, and EDNOS) and with those who want to improve their relationship with food. – Dr. Gregg D. Rubinstein

Natural Birth Experience
If you’ve been to the office recently, you notice that we’re seeing a lot more expecting moms, infants and children. For many years, people have been asking me about chiropractic and expecting moms and,in particular, about having a more natural birth experience. I certainly feel that the birth process has been associated with way too much intervention as of late with almost 50% of births now going to C-section. These advanced interventions do have risks associated with them.
Fortunately, I’ve come to know in the past few years a woman named Stephanie Heintzeler, a classically trained midwife and doula. For those who don’t know what a ‘doula’ is – she is someone that acts as an advocate for you, the parents, by helping you navigate all the complexities of hospital birthing and interventions. Thus, enabling you to have a fulfilling and rewarding birth with minimized risk to both mother and child. She’s extremely knowledgeable in pre-and postpartum assistance at home, on the phone, online she offers birthing classes, breast-feeding counseling and training courses.
Stephanie Heintzeler and the New York Doula concierge service is truly an expert group of professionals in the field and I never hesitate to recommend her and her services to any of my patients that are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
